Grassy Narrows Education Authority is a governing body consisting of the Director of Education, and the Chief & Council. They oversee the operations of our Daycare, Elementary, High School, and Learning Hub. You can find more information about each our divisions on their respective pages.
Our Educational Divisions
SAKATCHEWAY ANISHINABE ELEMENTARY SCHOOL
Grassy Narrows has a well maintained school building built in 1995, with a high school, elementary wing and affiliated with Migizi Wazason Childcare Centre.
MIGIZI WAZASON CHILD CARE CENTRE
In Spring of 2022, Sakatcheway Anishinabe Elementary School joined with the Migizi Wazason Child Care Centre to create the best in early childhood education.
SAKATCHEWAY ANISHINABE HIGH SCHOOL
In addition to the Elementary School, the Grassy Narrow Educational Authority also runs an Inspected High School that follows the Ontario Cirriculum.
THE LEARNING HUB
The Sakatcheway Anishinabe Elementary School Resource Centre (also know as “The Learning Hub”) is a place where students are supported in an environment that is safe and fun. We seek to create experiences for students that support learning and foster self-esteem.
